'Shorestitch' is able to repair or make a large variety of canvass/monofilm related products. Trained sailmaking techniques, twenty years windsurfing, thirty years around horses, seven years kitesurfing and snowboarding have all become focussed into creating functional products or services for protecting your equipment and keeping your equipment functioning.

We repair all types of kites, whether for land or water based activities. using highest quality materials  and the latest techniques, to make your kite as close to its original performance as possible. Our repairs to leading edge tears are super strong, on the outside dacron patch, on the inside kevlar patched!

We use great quality materials in our board bags. The closed cell foam is less likely to collapse than that of many rival cheap imports. Hard wearing nylons, Heat reflective fabrics, hard wearing webbings, and highest quality zips used. Last but not least very strong thread to put it all together.

In house designed and built windsurf sails by William barrs. Used to test ideas, strength of materials, design, but ultimately getting on the water  when it is really windy ....R and D - Well it has to be done!

Shorestitch can fix most windsurf sail problems. Even to how you are rigging it.Many people exacerbate the wear and their equipment needlessly .

Shorestitch History by William Barrs

Sick of waiting for products to arrive, and sick of damaging my car and board. Sick of wet footwells and sandy seats, Just sick of ruining all my toys, usually on land or through travel, so I have started 'Shorestitch'. I am a trained sailmaker, an ex-level 5 windsurf instructor, ex-windsurf shop manager, been kitesurfing for years, snowboarding for years, surfing when I can, I have had the chance to go to great places and share it with very friendly people.  When I started kitesurfing there was no one who could repair them, I learnt myself. -
I have never been a logo wearing clothes horse, I don't like exploitation, and understand some of the harsh conditions that people are exploited under allowing us cheap products.
What do my customers have to say? Well they generally come back and get there next 'job' done through Shorestitch, which is a good endorsement.

Mersea Island is a south facing beach. Largely sand and shell, but low tide muddy and some sharp shells. There is almost always someone on the water when it is windy. A great spot to visit.

As you can see from the Map if the wind is from the North, Mersea is no good for Kitesurfing or Windsurfing, but it still may be good for wakeboarding!!!!!!
